Although some therapists claim that ‘Counselling’ and ‘Psychotherapy’ mean much the same thing, the term ‘Counselling’ tends to be used for short term 1-10 session therapy suitable for specific easily defined problems, whereas ‘Psychotherapy’ is the preferred term when talking about more longer term therapy that explores the deeper roots of personal issues.
Counselling can be for everyone. Not just those who may consider themselves to be in an extreme crisis. We are all striving to live our lives in the best possible way but sometimes our environment, our relationships or life events make this difficult or sometimes impossible. Whatever your situation or difficulty, you’ll be warmly welcomed by Patricia.
